Chestnut Honey is produced in the Etna Park in Sicily and in the Sila Park in Calabria, between the month of June and the middle of July, in woods located at an altitude between 700 and 1000 meters above sea level.
It is dark in color (reddish-brown) and remains liquid in all stages of processing. Its aromatic scent and complex and intense flavor, slightly bitter, make it a particular honey, appreciated by those who do not like the typical sweet taste of honey.
Collected in the woods of the Etna and Sila Park in Calabria.
